I never doubted that products have genders too. The two lights are named as Brother and Sister to show the integrity and tenderness respectively. I would feel and evaluate the products after proofing and then decide whether to put them into batch production. I use beech from Germany and black walnut from America for this time. I believe that the customers will feel what I want to convey.

The design ideas of the lamp body come from a beaker. The slope allows even light reflection. The whole lamp is exquisite while compact. The base is made of German beech and lampshade linen.
‘The period of youth is the experimenting time of life. It is totally worth making mistakes.’ That is why I want to design a product as commemoration of the adventurous youth time. For me, beaker is a significant symbol of that.

I finished the design of this lamp in early 2013. But I kept refining the joints with different approaches. It is finally satisfactory. The tray, instead of the other elements, is the key point. It offers a perfect place for your glasses, watches or pens to stay overnight.

I never doubted that products have genders too. Using simple changes of lines, I divided the lights into man and woman. Both of them have excellent figures. Which do you prefer? You’ll probably fall in love with it once you touch it. It’s more than glad to be your friend and lit you up. Just get one and let it be your company for the rest of your life.

The lamppost and the base are connected as a whole using the continuity of the lines. The wood grains look clearer with the reflection of the light. The body is compact while modern. The log, even before used as one kind of material, is alive. I wish that it could extend to the product. I would feel and evaluate the products after proofing and then decide whether to put them into batch production. I use beech from Germany and black walnut from America for this time. I believe that the customers will feel what I want to convey.

The fine German beech and the dark American walnut are used for this design. You can tell from the picture that the clocks are like good friends even though they are in different colors and come from different places. I really hope that the clocks can bring you joy and accompany you through every second.

The Canadian maple and the American black walnut are used in this design. A large magnet is inserted in the wood so that it attracts the paper clips. Simple a clip-storage as it might be, it brings you innovation. You may find it difficult to figure out how we put the magnet in because the cylindrical log looks intact. At the same time, it can also be your paperweight.

The pen is fish-shaped, meaning writing is just as free as fish. To change refills, it can be opened in half and closed with the help of magnets inside. The pen is made of logs, making it perfect to touch.

2014 iF Design Award

Eggs, common in life, are already beautiful without any extra design. In this design, magnets are hidden inside so that the eggs can attract paper clips, making them nests instead.
Each egg is made and polished by hand. The grains are one and only in the whole world. The Canadian maple is used for this design. The eggs not covered with paint so that the users can feel the charms of the logs. So how do the magnets get in? Have you found out?
iF design award, referred to as “iF”, founded in 1953, the prize is held annually by Germany’s oldest industrial design organizations – Hannover Industrial Forum Design (iF Industrie Forum Design). German iF International Forum Design Award iF Design Award every year, it is famous for the “independent, rigorous and reliable,” award concept, and to raise public awareness for design, most of its gold award known as the “product design industry Oscars “.
